On Wednesday April 6 GHEC hosted Big Ideas, a company that brings career experiences to the school. Their trailer housed simulators in Heavy Equipment operation, Paint Spraying and Welding. There were VR simulators of 20 other careers for students to choose from.

Do you know that the colors of the candies in a bag of M&Ms are to be distributed in a certain percentage? Students in the Engineering Design class worked to see if bags of candies match the manufacturer's claims as the exercise for studying Summative Statistics.


The Engineering Design class finished their first project. Students designed and built Puzzle Cubes to study the design process.





Robots are packed up and batteries ready to be charged to get ready for tomorrow's 3rd and 4th grade robotics competition in Trimont at MCW elementary. Competition starts at 9 and will go until 12. Please come out and support our Jaguars!

The kids had fun creating a stunning rainbow sand bottle masterpiece along with a tropical fish sand magnet!

Middle Schoolers in Design and Modeling class finished and raced their CO2 dragsters to end the 3rd quarter.




Elementary Students had a fun time exploring with "Incredibox" in Music Class! Incredibox is a fun, interactive music experience that lets the students create their own music with the help of a merry crew of beatboxers!

Its down to just the Jags and the Bucs in Mascot Madness!

EmpowerU Elementary Social & Emotional Curriculum EmpowerU Lesson #6 (This Week): Students will be learning that their emotions are signals that can help! They will learn a helpful strategy to teach them how to manage their emotions. The calming tool of the week is called Body Scan! We love learning and practicing all of our new skills!

Our Middle and High School Band and Choir put on an outstanding concert this evening. A big thanks to Mrs. Emmert and Mrs. Bakken for all of the hard work and preparation throughout the school year!





No ECFE class this evening (Tuesday, March 22nd). We are exploring another date to reschedule this session.


Mrs. Rode-Mulder has been having fun with 3D printers in STEAM. These keychains will be in the PBIS Jag Mart soon!!!


Middle School STEAM has been having fun with some intro to engineering and robotics. Using VEX Go kits they have been building different versions of cars. Thank you #MartinCountyKnowHow for allowing us to use these! #vexgo #ghec #steam #pidayfun
