Hello all! My name is McKenzie Wagelie. I'm currently in my 3rd year as an agriculture teacher and 2nd year at GHEC. I graduated from SDSU with my undergrad degree in Animal Science. I also just received my Masters Degree in Agriculture Education from SDSU in Spring 2023. Besides being a teacher at GHEC I am also the GHEC FFA advisor and JH volleyball coach.

A little background about me is I am originally from Sleepy Eye, MN and graduated from Sleepy Eye Public in 2018. I currently live in Lewisville on a hobby farm with my husband Austin and son Emmett. We have many animals including 3 horses, 2 dogs, and 6 cats. In my free time I enjoy showing horses and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy traveling when I find time!

I love working with kids in the classroom and really focus on giving students real life practice and hands-on learning. My classes are very project based learning which gives students a realistic way to apply what they learned for assessments.

The GHEC FFA program is in its 4th year as a FFA chapter. We are super excited to be growing and see involvement increase from our FFA members. We are officially affiliated which mean any student 7-12 who takes an Ag class is in FFA. There are no dues as we want everyone to have an equal opportunity to participate in FFA
