GHEC Middle and High School March Update

GHEC Staff Celebrating "Words Matter" Week!
This week is to remind us that our words and how we communicate with others truly matter!

GHEC School is seeking a motivated instructional leader to serve our district as School Principal. A qualified applicant has a vision of creating a positive learning environment that ensures student success socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Applications due March 6th.

Granada Huntley East Chain Middle and High School is looking for a Counselor or Social Worker (1.0 FTE) to join our student-centered staff at GHEC Public Schools for the 2023-2024 school year.

Make sure to stop by Pizza Ranch and get a bite to eat. Our National FFA attendees will be working tonight 5-8pm. 10% of the proceeds from tonight go directly to our FFA workers.

GHEC has 4-5 used Clevertouch Boards that we are phasing out, but would still have some life left in them! These boards are basically like a large touch screen TV and we are hoping to send them to a good home. If you are interested, please call the GHEC office at (507) 447-2211. $200.00 per Clevertouch Board.

GHEC Schools will be starting 2 Hours Late on Friday, February 24th.

Today (Thursday) will be our second E-Learning day this week. Middle and High School students, please remember to begin looking for your E-Learning activities this morning at 10:00.

We often take for granted that our students will arrive on time to and from school. Unfortunately, we know this is not always the case when we see situations that occur throughout our state and country. Our GHEC bus drivers take on a huge responsibility by driving our students/children to and from school each day. We have been very fortunate to have a team of dedicated bus drivers to serve our school community. Please take a moment this week to thank your bus driver or all the bus drivers for their daily care of our students.

We LOVE math in 2nd grade! On Valentine's Day, second graders practiced graphing and measurement using conversation hearts.

100th Day of School! Second graders tried to imagine what they might do when they are 100 years old and what they might look like. They learned about what it was like to live one hundred years ago and completed a 100th Day of School math challenge.

GHEC Middle and High School students should begin to work on their E-Learning activities at 10:00 this morning.
