Meet Mrs. Leiding!

My name is Beth Leiding and this is my first year teaching here at Granada Huntley East Chain.  I have taught in a variety of settings over the past years, from Head Start pre-school to teaching adjudicated juveniles in Elmore Academy.  The past two and a half years, I worked as a Support Plan Coordinator at MRCI in Fairmont, working with adults with disabilities.  I am very excited to be back in the teaching field and working with the Middle School students at GHEC!  I am currently teaching 6-8 Math and co-teach 6th grade Science with Mrs. Maday.  I am also the 8th grade advisor.  I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato (GO MAVS!) with an elementary education degree with a middle school math endorsement.

I have been married to my husband, Josh for 18 years, last August.  We live on the original Leiding farm, where we are raising our four daughters, Jaiden (age 16), Gabriella and Saige (age 9), and Amalia (Age 7.)  My husband works for a farmer and farms multiple fields of corn and beans of his own.  I keep busy watching my girls play volleyball, softball, soccer and gymnastics and attending piano recital!

I look forward to a great year here at GHEC!  Please feel free to contact me at anytime by e-mailing me at or calling to school at 507-447-2211.
